A few inked margin notes in an unknown hand, else a fine copy. This document, well over two hundred pages in length, has been bound in a contemporary binding. Not surprisingly the document was too advanced for high school students, but it served as a springboard for many of McLuhan's greatest themes which were published in The Gutenberg Galaxy and Understanding Media later in the decade. Its purpose was to develop a syllabus for 11th graders in media awareness and the basic laws concerning sensory effects of various media.

Document produced by McLuhan as a result of a grant from the National Defense Education Act. Hardcover First Edition Subtitled "A Report To The United States Office Of Education From The National Association of Educational Broadcasters".
